As part of this commitment we have become a Certified B Corporation, joining the ranks of leading companies such as Method & Seventh Generation that are setting a new corporate standard for social and environmental performance. To become a B Corporation, businesses must meet comprehensive social and environmental performance standards, measured via a survey called the B Rating System.

Ecoxera is in the process of assessing a 2009 Carbon Footprint as a way to benchmark our operational performance against international standards. The assessment is a process by which we can better understand the environmental impact areas of our operating footprint so  appropriate reduction tactics can be initiated for reduction.  Beginning in 2011, Ecoxera will have an annual Carbon Footprint report and reduction tactics overview that we will make avaiable to customers and key stakeholders. 

 

Ecoxera is a member of Austin's Green Choice Program.  Our power is from 100% renewable resources.

 

Our internal procurement takes into consideration sustainable attributes such as longevity of use, performance, renewable and non-hazardous materials, as well as local sourcing. Green procurement is not limited to operations, but was considered in office build out. Some examples are: our no-VOC wall mural that was painted by a local artist, desks with FSC-certified wood and recycled steel, and room dividers made with 100% post-consumer recycled content.
